Right in the middle of things: TimoCom jump-starts seven new apprentices

IT service provider believes in "fair trade"

Dusseldorf, 2013-10-07. It is all a matter of attitude. That is not only the opinion of the Dusseldorf-based IT service provider but also that of seven new apprentices. In addition to talent, brains and commitment they all have a very clear idea of their future work place.

Starting work life in the fast lane

Since the start of September there is a breath of fresh air in the corridors at TimoCom. Seven juniors have started their professional future with the market leader among the freight and vehicle exchanges. In different departments they want to contribute to keeping the IT company's online tools for the transport industry on the course of success. In turn, TimoCom can score with several bonus points. The company that has been awarded the "Certificate for Youth Development Training" by the Federal Employment Agency keeps its promises – and that is a winner with the apprentices as well.

Top training with the market leader

These days, those leaving school prefer employers that stand for high-quality education. For the future marketing communications assistant, Sanja Golubovic, the good atmosphere on her trial period clinched it for her: "Everyone gave me a warm welcome and I felt well respected right from the beginning", remembers the 18-year-old from Krefeld. The high school graduate is expecting to be able to work independently like her apprentice colleagues and be well prepared for the future work life. "We like to train apprentices because juniors are the alpha and omega for a company. Our goal is to offer them a fixed contract with different career and further training opportunities once they finish the apprenticeship", knows Christiane Beulen from the HR department. Before she starts, however, Sanja wants to make another dream come true: "I've been wanting to go on a trip to Canada for a very long time."

The 20-year-old Marcel Norres wanted to do his apprenticeship as IT software development specialist with a modern and medium-sized company. "I'd love to apply my creativity in an international team. If the job is diverse, I will enjoy it", summarizes the amateur athlete. Environmental and social matters are also important to the high school graduate. "Everyone should do their share and TimoCom shows true commitment to some great projects."

Make a big hit with TimoCom

Since its foundation in 1997, the software manufacturer has developed from a 4-man start-up to a 400-man company with staff from more than 30 different nations. In 2013 alone it employed 55 new employees. Those who want to work in events, human resources, business administration, marketing communications, dialogue marketing or IT software development or designers – TimoCom still needs motivated apprentices for 2014.
