LOGfreight "dangerously good" on the move thanks to TimoCom
The freight forwarding company from Ratingen maximises its vehicle fleet capacity with the freight exchange
Dusseldorf, 2013-10-14. 19 trucks, 38 employees and a twenty thousand square meter area, of which 600 square meters are for hazardous goods: since its foundation in 2007, the freight forwarding and logistics company LOGfreight has developed an extensive scope of services, from chemical transport to container devanning. Here empty runs are not part of the program. Thanks to the freight exchange TC Truck&Cargo®, those in Ratingen do not know what that is.
Every day LOGfreight, based in Ratingen and Dülmen, serves countries all across Europe such as Spain, France, Benelux and Scandinavia. The optimisation of vehicle fleet capacity is an ongoing challenge for planners. With the help of TimoCom's procurement platforms no loading meter remains unused. The freight forwarding company has already used the European market leader among freight exchanges for over 6 years: "We mainly use TC Truck&Cargo® to search for freights, in particular for imports from Scandinavian countries. What counts is the large variety and volume", explains managing director Manfred Axler.

With up to 30,000 freight and vehicle offers from 85,000 verified users daily and precise search filters, LOGfreight always finds the freight it needs. "The cooperation with TimoCom is impeccable. The freight exchange helps us to remain flexible. We were even able to expand our transport services thanks to the large offer of freights", adds Axler. In addition to ADR/temperature-controlled transports, LOGfreight carries out express courier loads, part loads of groupage consignments or container devanning, among others.

The company wants to improve its performance and standards. This includes increasing the use of telematics systems, all of which can now be viewed in one single platform thanks to the new tracking solution TC eMap®. In addition, it is possible to manually grant permission to track the vehicles as part of an transport order. This way transport service providers emphasise their reliability and the business partner can personally track the goods at all moments. "By entering the vehicles in TC eMap®, our customers have a quick access to important information. That establishes trust, saves money and stress and all participants benefit from it", says LOGfreight managing director.
