TIMOCOM will be presenting modern interface technologies, known as Smart APIs, at the LogiMAT 2020 in Stuttgart. The Smart APIs create a bridge between TIMOCOM’s Smart Logistics System and the transport management and tracking systems used by the over 43,000 TIMOCOM customers throughout Europe. These interfaces are the logical complement to the well-known TIMOCOM Smart Apps, helping companies to cross technical borders. As a result, customers profit from optimised work processes and increased transparency within the transport process.

These interfaces are the logical complement to the well-known TIMOCOM Smart apps, helping companies to cross technical borders. As a result, customers profit from optimised work processes and increased transparency within the transport process. “Our transport orders, freight exchange and tracking Smart APIs eliminate typical problems that could arise in the work processes of our system users before they even become apparent. They are extremely effective components of a digitally supported supply chain, and they provide significant savings and increased efficiency,” explains Philipp Schmidt, Strategic Product Manager at TIMOCOM.
The TIMOCOM Smart APIs replace manual data transfer, among other processes, which reduces errors and saves time. Not only that, the interfaces are set up to automatically process relevant information in the service provider’s local language, effortlessly eliminating communication issues. GPS data from 256 connected telematics systems can also be integrated into the Smart Logistics System, increasing real time visibility along the transport chain. In turn, this optimises processes and increases planning security for all participants. As an example, the available positional data can be compared to the agreed upon delivery time and used to calculate an ETA.
TIMOCOM would like to welcome anyone interested in finding out more about the three Smart APIs transport orders, freight exchange and tracking to visit them between the 10th and 12th of March 2020 at the LogiMAT in Stuttgart at booth D71 in Hall 6.You can find more information at www.timocom.co.uk/smart-logistics-system/interfaces.
