Better than predicted: TimoCom's performance in 2015

Significant increase in customers and offers

(1)

Erkrath, 2016-02-29 - In the previous business year, 2015, TimoCom once again fortified their position as Europe's largest transport platform. More than 110,000 users enter/publish up to half a million freight and vehicle offers daily. Projected over the entirety of last year, that means: 68.1 million offers published via our platform in 2015. Not only that, but also the company value was increased by awards such as 'Best Brand 2015' as well as the 'connect-Award' from telematics giant TomTom. Our newly introduced TimoCom Messenger is also a success: already over 700,000 messages have been sent using the service.

Tremendous growth for vehicle and freight offers

The company, located in Erkrath (near Düsseldorf), Germany has over 400 employees, and with an annual turnover of €56.7 million is now one of the most successful medium-sized IT service providers for the entire European transport and logistics market. Even more exciting than the economic success and over 7,200 new customer contracts: the 68.1 million vehicle and freight offers published on TimoCom's platform in 2015. This is a growth of 16 percent compared to 2014. In addition to a growing number of customers, a variety of new interfaces have contributed to this increase. 13% of the entire vehicle and freight offers listed on the platform were solely due to our new connection between TimoCom customer's own logistics software and the TimoCom transport platform. This interface allows vehicle and freight offers from company internal freight forwarding programmes to be transferred to TimoCom using just a few clicks. Another plus is the provider-independent tracking solution TC eMap®, which now is connected to more than 170 European telematics providers. This connection ensures that there is no longer a need to switch between the selected telematics application and the TimoCom platform, which saves time.

Continued praise from TimoCom customers

According to a survey, 25% of all TimoCom customers had already noticed that they saved significant amounts of time within two weeks of the introduction of the offer-related TimoCom Messenger. "A quarter of our customers indicated that they could close deals quicker using the Messenger. It's a great number for the introductory phase", says TimoCom's Chief Representative Marcel Frings. 700,000 messages have already been sent using the business chat. "We're not just creating real added value for TimoCom users, we're also increasing acceptance for our system. That's why we were very pleased to see that 86% of our users already felt that they were well informed on the new product, before it was even introduced", says Frings. The excellent customer feedback is also reflected in the award "Best Brand 2015," awarded to TimoCom for the 7th time in a row by the readers of ETM publishing house.

Innovations for 2016 are already in the pipeline

After discussing the results from the previous year, TimoCom's Chief Representative Marcel Frings also gave us a glimpse into the plans for 2016: "Our Messenger system has already paved the way for the introduction in 2016 of a professional document management system. We are also focusing on expanding our business in the UK and in Turkey. In other words: we're going to continue to put the pedal to the metal and go all in for our customers."

The next innovation will be presented by the IT service provider at the largest Transport and Logistics Trade Fair, the IAA Commercial Vehicles, in 2016 in Hanover.

TimoCom will also be exhibitor at the trade fair Multimodal 2016 in Birmingham 10-12 May 2016, stand 1204.
