With TIMOCOM Live Shipment Tracking, you can provide your transport customer and everyone involved in the transport with status updates, the estimated time of arrival (ETA), shipment documents and, if desired, location data (GPS). This saves you a lot of work and stress. Automatically forwarding this information to you, the transport customer and any other parties involved in the transport keeps your communication effort with all parties to a minimum. Has your driver or have you already added the vehicle’s telematics in the TIMOCOM Marketplace? Then select the corresponding vehicle registration or GPS receiver in the ‘Status via GPS’ field in the tour window, and the status updates will be set automatically.

Don’t have access to the vehicle’s GPS data? Then you can have the driver enter status updates. Simply send the driver all the information about the tour to their smartphone – e.g. via WhatsApp or e-mail. The driver does not need to register or download an app to do this. They just need to open the tour in their smartphone browser and enter the status manually. In addition, the driver can upload documents in the application such as proof of delivery and send them directly to you. 


Available soon: Alternatively, your driver can also share the status automatically using the LKW.APP from Aparkado. To do this, send the driver the link with the tour details as described above. After clicking on the link, the TIMOCOM application will open in the driver’s smartphone browser. From there, the driver can click again to access the LKW.APP, where the tour data and further instructions are displayed. Status updates are then automatically shared via the smartphone’s GPS function, so the driver does not have to do anything else.

None of the above options suitable for you? Then you can manually enter the status of the shipment at any time in the shipment details on the TIMOCOM Marketplace. To do this, simply leave the fields ‘Status via GPS’ and ‘Status via driver’ blank. Then go to Shipment Tracking and open the desired shipment. From there you can manually enter the current status (from ‘Departed for the loading place’ to ‘Unloading completed’).

Have you received a transport order via the TIMOCOM Marketplace? Then accept this transport order and schedule it. With just a few clicks, you can link your vehicle or send all the necessary information to your driver’s smartphone.

No, the driver does not need to download an app or register to share the status. The data is either transmitted automatically via vehicle telematics, or you can send the driver all the information about the tour to their smartphone – for example, via WhatsApp or e-mail. The driver can then open the tour in their browser on their smartphone and enter the status manually. 
 

If your driver already uses the LKW.APP from Aparkado, they can also share their status with you via this app. To do so, they will need to download the app in advance.

 

After opening the link, the driver can access and start the tour. The driver uses the status to indicate which stage of the transport process he is currently at. The status updates are automatically transferred to the TIMOCOM Marketplace, allowing dispatchers to track the shipment at all times.

In order to provide the Live Shipment Tracking service, TIMOCOM has to transfer data via its system. We use data in a targeted manner to improve communication between transport customers and service providers. TIMOCOM provides the means to ensure that only the information that should really be shared is shared with other parties. The data is not provided to third parties. The owner of the data keeps control over said data at every point in the process and decides as part of live shipment tracking when and in what quality the data will be provided and shared.

The data that TIMOCOM collects and processes is hosted on servers in Europe. The server centres used by TIMOCOM are certified in accordance with ISO/IEC 27001.

Data protection for hauliers is TIMOCOM’s priority. We keep the processing of the driver’s personal data to a minimum. In particular, we do not use GPS data to create mobility profiles of people or vehicles. We also avoid collecting personal data and do not request names, e-mail addresses, etc.
