Erkrath, Germany, 2019-04-25 – Fears that the UK will leave the EU without a deal have caused an explosion in the number of goods ordered for delivery to the British Isles. Compared to the the previous year, truck transports from all parts of Europe towards Great Britain have more than doubled in the first quarter of 2019, with growth of 112%. These are the current numbers on the TIMOCOM transport barometer, which the IT company uses every quarter to document the development of transport offers and requests on Europe’s largest freight and vehicle application.

Erkrath, Germany/Madrid, Spain, 2019-04-17 - The Easter holidays bring with them reports on seasonal challenges in the logistics industry. An opportunity to trace the supply chain of seasonal goods right up to the supermarket shelves. But there is more to report than just an increase in chocolate bunny and Easter egg deliveries. Around Easter the European demand for goods rises and there is a particular challenge: not every European country celebrates these holidays at the same time, increasing logistical requirements. In Spain, for example, the Thursday before Easter is a public holiday, whereas in Germany and the UK it is a regular work day. However, on the Monday after Easter both in Germany and in the UK businesses are closed. A freight forwarding company from Spain gave an update on how the different Easter public holidays affect their business.

Erkrath/Hilden, (Germany) 2019-02-11 – Tripple Z has found their niche: The solar module manufacturer sells – in addition to quality products “Made in Germany”  – used solar systems. A business that is gaining ever more traction. Tripple Z is now the largest provider of second hand solar modules and accessories in Europe. The manufacturer organises the transport orders stemming from this business out of North Rhine Westphalia using TIMOCOM, the first Smart Logistics System.

Girteka Logistics from Lithuania. More than 13,000 Facebook users took a look at the video-teaser for the interview. Comments on Facebook included speculation on bad payment and long working hours for drivers. The event, which took place on 12 June in the TimoCom headquarters, was attended by Kristian Kaas Mortensen, Chief Communications Officer, and Elena Kazinec, Key Account Manager; they reacted in real time to the questions and comments made by the Facebook community.

Erkrath, Germany, 2018-07-20 – The trade dispute with the USA has not had an effect on the work load of transport companies in Europe so far. Although the EU Commission has lowered their growth estimate to 2.1 percent due to the customs dispute (May estimate: 2.3%), the demand for vehicle space has remained consistently high one month after the introduction of punitive tariffs by the US. This is clear from the TimoCom transport barometer, the industry indicator for road transport developments within Europe.
