The IT and data specialist is revamping their marketing strategy for Poland and planning to significantly expand their presence within the country with a new, central location. This will increase focus on Poland as one of the most strategically important markets for the digital transformation of European logistics. Both transport service providers and dispatchers, as well as manufacturing and trade customers will profit from the strategic repositioning and the associated location expansion in Poland.

“We opened a new location in Wrocław because Poland is an important market both for us and for the digital transformation of logistics in Europe,” said TIMOCOM Managing Director Tim Thiermann.

The IT and data specialist TIMOCOM, with headquarters in Erkrath, Germany, will continue to grow internationally. The company is expanding its presence on the Polish market with an additional location in Wrocław. Both transport service providers and dispatchers, as well as manufacturing and trade customers will profit from the strategic repositioning and the associated location expansion in Poland.

New, central location in Wrocław

“We decided on a new location in Wrocław because Poland is an important market for us in terms of the digital transformation of logistics in Europe, due to the high number of freight forwarders and associated provision of transport capacity,” said TIMOCOM Managing Director Tim Thiermann. “Our strategic goal is to win even more customers for our Smart Logistics System by proving to them that our applications and expertise regarding interfaces provide real added value.” More than 43,000 companies are already networked via the TIMOCOM Smart Logistics System, and they upload up to 750,000 international freight and vehicle offers daily.

TIMOCOM is optimising the company structure in Poland to increase customer proximity
Employees of the well-established European logistics IT solution provider will have closer, more comprehensive access to the Polish market from the new, modern location in Wrocław. The previous location in Piła will be integrated into the new corporate structure, and the Wrocław location will significantly increase the company’s presence in Poland. “We have an excellent and active team in Poland and we want to continue to work together with them to further digitalise logistics in Europe and to take care of our Polish customers,” says Tim Thiermann: “We will be expanding our team, and are on the search for motivated employees who will offer even better quality service to our Polish customers from our Wrocław location.” TIMOCOM currently has around 50 employees working in Poland. By 2021, the IT company plans to increase that number to up to 115 team members, and make additional investments of around EUR 10 million. Starting in 1997, TIMOCOM has worked together with their customers to further develop their vision of a world without logistical challenges, across all European borders and beyond.
